Leadership

The people behind the placements

Reinsurance broking is a technical, relationship-driven business. These are the people who structure Net Re’s programmes and take them into the market.

Mohamed Sabry, Managing Director of Net Re

Mohamed Sabry

Managing Director

Since his addition to the team, Mohamed Sabry has served as Managing Director, an appointment approved by Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority as part of a mandate to strengthen the firm’s growth and expand its presence across the Egyptian and regional markets.

He brings more than seventeen years in insurance and reinsurance. He began in 2009 in direct underwriting, then progressed through a series of leadership roles at Royal Insurance before joining Net Re and moving into reinsurance broking. His priorities here are delivering the regional expansion strategy, accelerating growth, and deepening relationships with clients and reinsurance partners.

Sabry’s appointment reflects our ambition in both the local and regional markets. He has proven his ability to lead growth and business development in line with the company’s strategy, and his arrival is a strong addition to the team, strengthening our reinsurance broking services and broadening the scope of our business.

Ahmed Hassan, Chairman

Amr Ahmed, Associate Partner at Net Re

Amr Ahmed

Associate Partner

Amr Ahmed leads Net Re’s work on special and complex risks: the exposures that do not fit standard treatment and have to be built from the ground up.

Six years in this field have given him a technical command of high-value and high-severity exposures, and a close reading of how the markets behave when capacity for those industries is being negotiated. His focus is the point where technical analysis meets commercial reality: structuring placements the market will genuinely support, and managing expectations on both sides so that what is promised is what gets delivered.
